Upgrade policy — 1.4.0

v1.4.x · updated 2026-10-14

Large saved attachments can be read in chunks and searched across extracted text. Excel keeps sheets, cell addresses and numbers; formulas are not executed. For a scanned PDF, the model sees the first four pages and discloses a partial view of longer files.

Migrate from OpenClaw in “Import”: upload an export, review the preview and apply your selection. A backup is made before applying; results and rollback are in the history. Warnings and skipped items need your decision; migration does not promise support for every third-party plugin.

Update Core in “System & settings” and modules in “Plugins”. Versions are independent: app and its module 1.1.6, Telegram 1.0.3, MAX 1.0.2. After updating, check your agent, attachments and channel on your own installation.

Chats, schedules and channels

  • Active chats and archives are separate. Archiving preserves messages; search and sorting cover the whole selected list on the server.

  • Resetting context keeps the same chat and ID. A recurring schedule uses one own chat or its valid bound chat.

  • External chat names follow platform metadata and group renames. Local renaming is available for your own web and app chats.

  • Extra chat details and filters are closed by default; search stays visible, leaving more space for messages.

  • “Response progress” separately controls “Typing indicator” (typing), “Activity” (activity) and “Streaming replies” (streaming) where supported. Typing continues while waiting for a subagent.

  • Telegram previews drafts in private chats without requiring rich formatting; activity requires rich formatting. Groups receive finished replies. TELEGRAM_STREAMING=false disables streaming. MAX edits the same message, including groups; long replies keep continuations. MAX_STREAMING=false disables streaming.

Requirements for Core 1.4.15

  • These changes require the published, signed Core 1.4.15 release to be installed. The signed 1.4.14 release remains unchanged.

  • The signed installation bundle provisions the document runtime. Python and dependencies stay inside its verified directory; an unready runtime blocks generation without falling back to host Python.

  • Generated or prepared media is not confirmed delivery. Check each recipient’s result: confirmed, partial, failed or unknown. Reconcile an unknown result before resending.

  • Chat reminders retain the real initiating person and destination and recheck current access. Revocation stops execution and delivery; legacy entries without a proven actor do not gain owner rights.

Bitrix24 also needs its separately published, signed connector 1.1.1 from the catalog. Updating Core alone does not update an installed connector 1.1.0.
