Project studios: OpenDesign and VoiceStudio
OpenDesign and VoiceStudio open in the studios section of the AiHummer web panel. Select a workspace: studio projects and data belong to the current user within that workspace. Visiting the section does not install or start an application.
Getting started
- The standard Linux x86-64 installation prepares verified OpenDesign and VoiceStudio applications. Select a workspace, choose a signed version and install it for your account; an application is started only by the run button.
- Wait for installation to finish, run the studio and open its editor. OpenDesign works with projects and designs; VoiceStudio works with voice and audio.
- Use the stop button to stop the application. Closing the editor only hides its window.
Resources and network
The standard installation sets bounded memory, CPU and process limits for both studios. Existing administrator settings are preserved. Starting is unavailable without a complete allocation. Limits appear on the card and beside the open editor; they do not guarantee that every model fits in memory. Voice computation runs on your own instance. Processor compatibility, model readiness and free disk space are checked separately.
Public networking is off by default. Model downloads and requests to selected external providers require administrator permission; private addresses remain blocked. Visiting the section does not automatically download models.
Installation recovery
If the card reports unavailable storage or no verified versions, run aihummer doctor as the AiHummer service user. It checks application files, resources and the user systemd session. aihummer doctor --fix restores the private studio cache from signed releases; aihummer studios prepare performs that installation directly. These commands work without sudo and do not launch applications or change personal projects. Leave about 5 GB free for downloading and unpacking both applications. Applications for other architectures are not available yet.
The service user must have a systemd user session. If the host disables persistence after logout, its administrator needs to enable linger; the installer preserves the host’s session policy.
Updates and errors
Stop the studio before updating and select a version. Rollback requires a previous compatible version; it does not downgrade the data schema. On error, read the message and refresh the state. Retrying a command uses its original request identifier; an interrupted wait does not prove that the operation failed. Contact the administrator if recovery is required.
The card provides source code for the installed version: OpenDesign uses Apache-2.0 and VoiceStudio uses AGPL-3.0-only. Models may have separate license terms.
